It depends on where the "white spots" were seen and how they were sure that she was alzeimer's free (did they do a brain biopsy?).

white spots on T2 on mri has been associated with memory dysfunction,but they are non specific meaning migraine,hypertention,b12 deficiency,metabolic syndrome,etc
