In brief: Doctor can evaluate

Losing 30 pounds in only 4 months is quite a significant weight loss that should be evaluated as soon as possible by a physician.
It could mean an infection, cancer, or another serious condition. The weight loss may or may not be related to the symptoms in your groin area.

get a biopsy of your groin

In brief: Very concerning.

Please go to see your doctor now to get further evaluation.
You may have lymph nodes enlargement/mass in the groin that warrants biopsy and further test - scans etc. Significant weight loss, lumpy/swollen glands are very concerning as this could be cancerous. Off course other process like inflammation can also give you these problems. Whatever is please seek medical attention.
