Erythrasma is a chronic superficial bacterial infection of skin folds, groin, armpits, more commonly seen in obese or diabetics.
Appears as reddish-brown, slightly scaly patches with sharp borders, that may itch slightly. Differentiated from fungal infxn by no fluorescence under uv light.. Treatment involves scrubbing w antibacterial soap, using Erythromycin gel (mild) or pills (more severe cases).
