In brief: Discuss w oncologist
Need more info. On "bone cancer"- if its myeloma then regimens with meds such as velcade, revlimid, (lenalidomide) steroids are very effective and followed by transplant in some cases.
Other "bone cancers" such as osteosarcomas require cjemothearpy and surgery to cure patients effectively. Best discussed with the treating oncologist and can look up sites such as cancer.Net; american cancer society; etc.

In brief: Depends on the type
There are several different types of bone cancer.
Some are considered to be more benign, some are more malignant. Some respond to surgical removal alone, others require radiation and/or chemotherapy as part of the treatment. Bone cancer in the leg may be treated differently than bone cancer in the pelvic bone, and the degree of disease (metastatic or not) makes a difference as well.
