Surgery - Colorectal
1 doctor agrees

In brief: Rectal diazepam

Is for very select conditions.
You can try oral diazepam but you may not have similar response as rectal diazepam has a topical effect. Talk with your GI doctor as there is lot of info rquired before someone is prescribed valium suppositories. We can't discuss all thay here as space is limited. Your best bet iis your GI doc or colorectal surgeon ..Whoever u follow.

If it is for seizures, oral lorazepam gel is another possibility. (Called "intensol")l
