In brief: Be supportive
Sympathize with child, it's not their fault.
Rule out UTI + day urinary frequency. Stop all fluids after supper. Try to toilet child couple of hours after bedtime if possible. Next, if >7yrs-old try enuresis alarm (70% success rate) but parents will need to assist to ensure child wakes and turns off alarm(see device instructions)then ?Desmopressin to reduce n urine production. Then? Oxybutininer.

In brief: Enuresis treatment
Enuresis is divided into night time vs daytime urinary incontinence.
Treatment is dependent on the type and age of the patient. Often behavioral therapies can help, then use of an underpants buzzer, medications and nasal sprays are used after those fail. The patient should first be seen for evaluation by a physician. We know that shame and punishment does not work and can be harmful.
