In brief: Comprehensive

There is no quick fix.
The best treatment programs are comprehensive. Diet modification, appropriate medications and or supplements, regular exercise, stress relaxation techniques, counseling and cbt. Have all been found to help. Additional treatments options which can also be helpful include acupuncture, meditation, yoga, massage, chiropractic treatments, physical therapy, and water therapy.

To the great list described by Dr. Keller I would add optional treatment with Ayurveda if available which is Traditional Indian Medcine and treatment based on body type(Prakruti) , toxin built up (Ama) and imbalance of energy in the body( Vikruti) with specific body type herbs, diet etc. Generally this herbs takes about 1 year to go deep in the tissue before one may see its effect.

In brief: Fibromyalgia

As a functional medicine doctor, I recommend you see a functional medicine doctor like me who works a lot with fibromyalgia patients.
There are many factors that can influence your pain and other symptoms. You deserve the time and attention you would get from someone who will spend a lot of time with you, and who is well trained.
