In brief: Common cold
Adenovirus causes the common cold.
Symptoms typically include fever, cough, running nose and fatigue. There is currently no antiviral medication thata can appropriately treat it, but it tends to resolve within 1 week. Adenovirus can also cause "pink eye", a conjunctivitis that is easy to spread to others. Avoidance of others helps decrease the spread of the disease.
