When should I worry about by 6 week old baby not pooping? He normally goes poop daily but has not in a day.

In brief: Pooping

An infant does not have to have a daily bowl movement.
Often, as infants age, the frequency of the bowel movements decrease, especially with breast fed babies.

It is OK to have bowel movement once every 2-3 days as long as baby's behavior is normal. If baby refuses to eat or starts vomiting or any other changes in behavior that would be cause for concern.

In brief: If it gets hard

Breast fed babies can have a little poo each feed or a big blowout every 7-10 days.
Fussing babies do so with their breathing muscle & pooch out the stomach in the process, this doesn't meen they have a tummy ache. Formula fed are usually more predictable @ 1-2/d but skippping a day is ok if it's still soft when they go.
