In brief: Unpredictable
Seasonale is a combo of estrogen (which raises HDL or "good" cholesterol) and progestin (which lowers hdl) - the net effect is unpredictable.
A small % of women have elevation of triglycerides which is bad. Seasonale can raise blood sugar (bad), but usually doesn't unless if you have diabetes. Overall, seasonale is safer than the risk of pregnancy if you don't smoke and are under age 40.

In brief: Yes indeed
Oral contraceptives can contain estrogen, which serves as a stimulus for the enzyme involved in manufacturing triglycerides ( fat) in the liver. While oc's increase triglycerides, they decrease HDL cholesterol, and can also improve LDL cholesterol.
Depending on the type of oc, they can also sometimes increase the LDL cholesterol and somthing called the LDL particle number concentration.
