Should I still go to work if I have warm skin on my chest and tummy? Is that a fever?

In brief: Get a thermometer

A thermometer is the best way to tell if you have a fever. Core temp is 98.
6+/- 1 degree- best measured with a rectal thermometer. Oral temps may be low by a degree; ear temps may also be falsely low; armpit (axillary) temps are less accurate. Forehead scan temps can be pretty good, especially for small children. Fever is generally 100.5 and up; "low grade fever" up to that point.
