I think i suffered a paroxysmal finger hematoma today and the hematoma is really painful and the finger swollen, should I be seen by a dr.?

This is also called achenbach syndrome.
It's etiology is poorly understood at best. It may be associated with other diseases , but that is undetermined at present. It is benign , it usually resolves in a couple days. I know - I have had the same sort of episode in my left thumb !
