In brief: Contact your doctor

Lack of call from doctor does not mean negative result.
Please contact your doctor to find out the result. If that does not help, you may wish to see an infectious disease specialist.

In brief: Rash

Could be folliculitis which is a small infection in the opening of your skin where tiny hairs grow.
You could try bathing with hibiclens twice a week for 2 weeks which kills bacteria and see if that helps. Does not sound like herpes. Keep in mind that a negative blood test does not give 100% diagnosis - yes or no - of skin herpes. Only a virus culture of an active skin lesion can prove it.
