In brief: Hard to tell

See your dentist.
They can check for a blocked saliva duct. Or possibly you have a localized allergic reaction. Are you taking any new or different medication? If your problem is not dental in origin, then they will refer you to a physician (possibly an otolaryngologist-ear, nose and throat specialist).
