In brief: Hoffa syndrome
I want to thank you for teaching me something new.
Avoid streching the knee, running. Need to rest, physical therapy, ultrasound therapy, antinflamatory meds. If pain is sugnificant then tapping the knee or surgery is needed. This is a challenge if you play competitive sport. You need a team approach with pcp, ortho, physical therapist, parents , coaches and trainers.

In brief: Rest
You may try some rest, ice and anti-inflammatory medication.
If that does not help you can try some kinesiotaping to augment your brace.
