Help! Had a fractured ankle with plaster for 5 weeks, but now ankle is swollen and toe hurts to step on?

Relax. Takes a lot time for swelling and pain to fully resolve after a fracture. Please do go back to the treating physician for an x-ray and advice on additional treatment options. You may need additional time in the cast or transition to a walking cast boot.
