Although portions of the trigeminal nerve pass closely to the pituitary through the cavernous sinus, it's not a common problem after transsphenoidal surgery.
That being said, there may be irritation of the nerve after surgery and a proper tincture of time for healing should be allowed. Your surgeon should be able to help you through this. Best of luck.
