In brief: Brain Freeze, too
Brain freeze from ingesting ice cold foods is common & multifactorial, as are headaches.
Such pain can originate from the skin, fat, muscle, blood vessels or within the cranium from great venous sinuses, their tributaries, the dura and its arteries, the falx cerebri, & the large arteries at the base of the brain (all of which have pain fibers). Also, migraines can trigger from alcohol and foods.

In brief: Brain Freeze
"brain freeze" is a lay term that most of us are familiar with.
The most common situation in which this occurs is anxiety. A classic example is when someone has to give a talk in front of a large audience and ends up with a total loss of words. It also happens much more commonly now in middle age and older patients who begin to have symptoms of mild cognitive impairment or early alzheimer's diseas.
