In brief: Upper abdominal pain
Medical term is dyspepsia.
Multiple causes medication induced from nsaid's (motrin Aleve (naproxen) asprin type products) or bacteria infection called helicobacter pylori and many other less common causes in a otherwise healthy person. Problem is usually self limiting with over the counter treatments, however, if persists would seek care from a medical provider.

In brief: Acid indigestion
Acid indigestion, or acid reflux (medical term: gerd), is extremely common.
Due usually to stress, the stomach makes excess acid which can leak out of the stomach and up the esophagus causing a burning taste or feeling. Sometimes the problem is that the muscle closing the stomach from the esophagus is weak (hiatal hernia). Treatment is with antacids or otc meds like Pepcid (famotidine) or prilosec.
