What sort of disease is chronic lymphocytic leukemia (c.L.L.)?

CLL. Cll is a clonal disorder (cancer) of the white blood cells (specifically lymphocytes) in the blood (= -emia part). Other leukemias include cml, aml, all, etc. Cll is often diagnosed by flow cytometry on peripheral blood. Additional studies may include ct scans and bone marrow biopsy. One staging system is rai 0 to iv. Treatment ranges from observation (rai 0-1) to various tx individualized to pt.
Blood cancer. Cll is the abbreviation of this low grade leukemia/lymphoma. There are specific treatments. You generally dont know you have it, although you may be tired or fatigued.
