In brief: Like any surgery but
Cesarean during labor carries slightly higher risks of infection and bleeding versus a scheduled cesarean.
Also if it is a first abdominal surgery then surgical risks are lower. For repeat cesarean sections risks related to scar tissue, injury to bladder, injury to uterus, placenta abnormally attached - are all increased. Cesarean done for prematurity is also higher risk.
