You can have spotting and some bleeding and still be pregnant.
You should not have a full "period" as this would be the sloughing off of the tissue where the fertilized egg would attach. I would recommend follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation.

To have a true period, you can't be pregnant.
When you are pregnant, the pregnancy prevents ovulation and menstrual cycles. What can happen is bleeding during a pregnancy mimicking a period. Bleeding does not always indicate a miscarriage and is a fairly common problem. It sounds like you are unsure of a pregnancy, so i'd recommend having a pregnancy test and pelvic exam by your physician.
