My 13 year old has high blood pressure is this normal since she did just sprain her ankle?

Transient/ persistan. It is not unusual for a kid to have a transient increase in BP readings after an injury, or during the anxiety of a dr visit (white coat htn). Close followup with a BP diary, taken in relaxed setting & after pain of injury is lessened is needed. Occasionally true treatable HTN may be discovered during an evaluation for unrelated issues so don't ignore this.
Repeat it. Any time there is an elevated blood pressure it should be rechecked at least a couple more times at different visits.

Hello my mom is 50 years old, her high blood pressure is 10 and low blood pressure is 6. is that normal?

Check your numbers. BP readings would have to be in the double digits at the least. A "classic" stable BP is 120/80 for example. Read more...
Normal Not = Healthy. Normal only means Average. The numbers entered are not compatible with life. Be aware that most BP readings (especially all the digital gauges) are quite inaccurate & far less reliable than humans; just estimations; only represent a single heart beat for each number; from different heart beats. BP is hidden internal behavior which we adjust constantly, moment by moment. Read values yourself! Read more...

59 year old male I take ramipril 10mg per day for high blood pressure & my blood pressure is still high 170/80 what do you recommend please?

Go see your doctor. Looks like you're already taking Diltiazem in addition to your ramipril. If your blood pressure is still high after 2 medications, ask about adding hctz, (hydrochlorothiazide) a weak diuretic. Exercise is useful as is eating a low salt, high potassium/magnesium diet. BP still elevated. Your blood pressure is terribly elevated. You are ramipril (r) and ditiazem (d), both of which are not being given to you at maximum doses. Call your physician (p) and see if you can go to 20 mg of r and 360 mg of d daily. If that does not control your bp, your p may have to increase the number of BP meds you are taking. If your BP is still > 140 on 4 meds, consider secondary causes of hbp. Read more...
