I have a uti. I was prescribed bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). Since I am supposed to take it twice a day and it is so late now, can I still start or should I wait until to?

In brief: Take the antibiotic

The longer you wait, the longer the discomfort (pain on urination stops within a day of starting the right antibiotic ) and the higher the risk of complications such as a kidney infection, abscess, or blood infection.
