I have slightly high cholesterol female 51 yrs old. I regularly exercise eat fairly healthy. Simvastatins caused aches pains & welchor no good please ad?

In brief: Eat less animal fat

For slightly high cholesterol, you can change your diet by decreasing your carbs and dairy intake since that seems to be a bigger source of animal fat for women than eating beef/pork and can change your ldl.
Also, adding exercise, fiber through more plants, red yeast rice found in canada since they still have the statin like part, and cholestoff found at drug stores. Also use coq10 before statin.

I would recommend adding 1 - 2gm of omega -3 fatty acid supplement to your diet if you are not already doing that.

Many patients who get aches with one statin are able to tolerate another. Most aches go away within a week or two. I would suggest discussing trying another statin with your pcp.
