In brief: Yes

But first an ultrasound with an sis should be done and birth conrol pills can be used to decrease bleeding if you do not have any contraindications to taking them; if they fail then the ultrasound and possibly the hysteroscopy/operative hysteroscopy; the D&C is a bit outdated.

In brief: Yes and No

Yes, hysteroscopy is an excellent tool to diagnose the anatomical causes of excessive bleeding, such as polyps, fibroids, or even cancer.
No, because the treatment benefit of a D&C is short-lived.

In brief: Yes

The hysteroscopy will allow your doctor to see the inside of your uterus, if there is any abnormality - it will be seen and can be treated properly.
The D&C is usually done as well to remove excessive or abnormal tissue which can decrease you beeding.
