In brief: Cancer and pain

When cancer has progressed to the point it is eroding into other tissues, like nerves, it can be extremely painful and difficult to control.
If it has spread to the bones this can also be very painful, like having a broken bone. Radiation is a good tool to use to decrease pain. There are lots of different pain meds that work well too. It's important to stay ahead of the pain, be proactive!
