Ii am on maloxicam and cyclobenzaprine. Is it ok to take tylenol (acetaminophen)?

Yes. It is ok to take tylenol (acetaminophen) with any NSAID like Meloxicam or Ibuprofen with a muscle relaxant like cyclobenzaprine but make sure to take the right dose of tylenol (acetaminophen) and not to exceed the max daily dose. Also, and this is important, many pain meds like vicodin, Norco already have tylenol (acetaminophen) so you must take that into account as well. Tylenol (acetaminophen) in a healthy adult should not exceed 4000 mg / day!

I have back pain went to the er they sent me home with Tylenol (acetaminophen) 3 and Cyclobenzaprine and they are not working.

Poor Rx. Cyclobenzaprine is a sedative that only relaxes muscle in cats. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is only a analgesic and does nothing to correct back pain. At least they could have prescribed Aleve with a warning of infrequent possible gastric irritation. Get a back diagnosis and treat the cause. Read more...

Am I okay to take two regular strength ibuprofen, one extra strength acetaminophen and one 10mg cyclobenzaprine? For a dislocated jaw pain?

Yes. It's very common to combine medication. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen work very well together. Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is a good muscle relaxer and you won't have trouble taking theem all together. Hope your jaw heals fast! . Read more...
