I have some anti biotics (cipro, metro) but they expired 2 1/2 mos. Ago. Is there any danger of toxicity from them?

In brief: Unlikely

Most often the expiration date tells you when the medicines lose their effectiveness.

Expiration date tells that the antibiotic may loose its potency after the date

Most physicians give just enough antibiotic to treat whatever they are treating. There should not have been any left over, and if so, please discard. If you think there is another bacterial infection that needs to be treated, you should see your doctor.

In brief: Expiration dates

This is an old issue.
The expiration date is date at which medicine is no longer guaranteed to be of the stated potency. This doesn't mean that on the day after the date, it drops to no effectiveness. Most dry medication (capsules, hard pill) will be potent for a long time after the expiration date. If you are treating something serious it is best to pay attention to those dates.
