If has been a chronic symptom and no cause was found in the past- possible causes are drinking water late at night, eating late at night. Better to check with your doctor.

Try consuming more of your liquids earlier in the day and decreasing the volume in the afternoon and evening.
If you have leg or ankle swelling, you should see a doctor. Although unusual at your age, prostate swelling can possibly contribute to this issue, especially if you have difficulty starting or stopping your urinary stream; your physician can evaluate this further.
