What can I eat/drink/take besides insulin that will quickly lower my blood sugar?

Not recommended. In many cases, it can be dangerous to quickly lower blood glucose, even with insulin. Most of the time, if the glucose is high for a hospitalized patient we lower glucose in a slow regular fashion. It is best to eat a diet that avoids rapid increases in caloric/carbohydrate load to avoid rapid shifts in insulin, which haas many risks. Eat low glycemic index foods, small portions and "healthy".
