Patient with excellent result of prior (x3) spinal fusion. Severe paraspinous muscle spasm with MRI showing paraspinous muscle atrophy edema. Rx?
Physical Therapy. I will probable have him/her continue with pt/hep focused in strengthening the paraspinal musculatures. Tens units can be tried to see if it can also help.
