In brief: Be careful

It depends on the drug.
Getting off some just will make you miserable. Stopping some cold turkey can kill you. Check with your doctor before stopping any drugs legal or not.

In brief: Depends on the drug

It really depends on the drug you've abruptly quit.
For most drugs, the withdrawal symptoms are usually opposite of the drug's effects, e.g. Withdrawal from a stimulant will usually result in CNS depression, apathy, low energy, etc. Withdrawal from a sedative will cause CNS excitation. Certain drugs (especially benzodiazepines) are dangerous to quit abruptly and should be gradually tapered.

In brief: Depends

Withdrawal symptoms (the reaction you have after you quit drugs) are dependent upon the drug that you quit.
For instance, tobacco withdrawal: anger, irritation, weight gain, depression, restlessness, and anxiety are common symptoms. Please see your physician if you plan on quitting as some of these symptoms can be avoided with proper treatment.
