In brief: 1st menses postpartu

If the mother is breast feeding on demand ( all the time with no other food) for up to 56 days.
Otherwise it is not predictable. Remember that mothers breast feeding or not may ovulate before the first menstruation shows up, increasing the chances of pregnancy. The more breast feeding the farther the menstruation will show up.

In brief: Period in Postpartum

It depends.
If you are breastfeeding exclusively it can be several months. If you are not breastfeeding at all, usually in 2 months. If you are on birth control, could be 2 months or more.
