In brief: Brewer's Yeast

Brewer's yeast contains b-complex vitamins including: b1 (thiamine), b2 (riboflavin), b3 (niacin), b5 (pantothenic acid), b6 (pyridoxine), B9 (folic acid), and h or b7 (biotin).
http://tinyurl.com/kfvkmn5 it does not contain B12 (cobolamin), which is essential for metabolism, neurological function, and blood formation. Most "b complex" supplements do contain B12 along with the rest.

Agree. In fact, every doctor in the ER is trained to look out for vitamin B12 deficiency in all chronic alcoholics who may get most of their caloric intake from brewed products.

In brief: Depends

Brewers yeast is often saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Nutritional yeast is inactivated yeast that has been fortified with synthetic b vitamins. The B12 added is synthetic Cyanocobalamin and not the best form which is methylcobalamin.

Agree. Brewers yeast has no vitamin B12. Vitamin B is actually a series of vitamins numbered 1 through 12. Hope that helps.
