Probably will. Doxycycline is an antibiotic in the tetracycline family that is used often for spirochete illnesses, by far the most common today being lyme's disease. Often it is given preventively if there is clear exposure to a tick that got it's fangs into you and couldn't just be flicked off (this is appropriate). No effect on effect. Smoking would not be expected to change the effectiveness of doryx (doxycycline). If smoking and Doryx (doxycycline) both upset your stomach, one could make the other more distressing, but i doubt you'd be smoking if it routinely upset your stomach. I had bad side effects on doxyxycline. I was prescribed Doryx (doxycycline) 150 mg for acne. Since it is delayed released would the symptoms be milder?

Depends. If it was a stomach side effect (cramps, diarrhea) possibly. However, skin reactions like severe sunburns,etc should not be affected by a delayed release. Allergic reactions would also not be affected to any degree. Read more...
