My daughter has sudden hearing loss. She was congested but that has cleared but the hearing loss remains.?

Have her seen. Sudden hearing loss can be from something as simple as blockage of the ear canal by wax, or drainage, or as serious as damage to the bones involved in hearing. Another possibility can be a perforated eardrum from an ear infection. This can ease symptoms but causes other problems. Most perforations will heal, but given the acute onset, she should have her ears examined soon.
Sudden hearing loss. Sudden sensorineural hearing loss is a medical emergency that may improve with steroids. A consultation with an ENT physician is recommended. In younger children, the simple presence of fluid in the middle ear is a far more likely diagnosis.
