In brief: Unlikely
You should have this evaluated by your family doctor or orthopod.
Chiropractic theory is outmoded and frankly wrong. You might need physical therapy as prescribed by an md, but the chiropractor will always find a problem based on high powered x-rays totally misinterpreted, and then the performance of strenuous massage that sometimes is dangerous.

In brief: Physical therapy
Physical medicine such as physical therapy, chiropractic management in conjunction with anti-inflammatories and if needed muscle relaxants (in acute phase) help reduce spasms and decrease back pain.
Long term you need to strengthen your back muscles and learn how to lift without injuring yourself. Also work on strengthening your abdominal muscles.
