In brief: D.O.s & OMT
Omt is literally a hands on approach to patient care.
It is the art of healing touch applied to diagnosis & treatment of musculoskeletal problems and can help treat many other issues such as asthma, migraines, sinusitis, menstrual pain, and can complement & sometimes replace need for drugs & surgery. It involves both subtle soft tissue techniques & also manual movement of muscles & joints.

There are in fact studies showing that OMT is safe for children & infants and helps patients heal many ailments, often as an adjunctive therapy & part of a comprehensive treatment plan. If concerned about safety, see an Osteopathic Physician trained & experienced with OMT who can actually counsel on risks vs benefits. History proves many more adverse outcomes with drugs & surgery vs OMT hands down

In brief: Unfortunately...
There is no strong scientific proof that this therapy helps all of the many things that are claimed to be improved, some help, yes, often no.
And remember that there is absolutely no evidence as to the safety and efficacy of these therapies for our children!
