When to the e.R today for stabbing pain under right rib. Had xray, ultrasound, blood work done all came back negative. Could it be GERD related?

In brief: GERD unlikely

The quality of the pain you describe "stabbing pain under right rib" does not sound gerd which is usually burning kind in the mid chest.
Your pain sounds more like gallbladder pain. As the ultrasound was negative, common duct stone would be unlikely. But if you had gallbladder surgery in the past, the pain may very well be due to postcholecystectomy syndrome or sphincter of oddi dysfunction.

In brief: RUQ pain

Doubtful but possible.
If abdominal us was negative and gb looked normal other possibilities could be gerd but not common location or type of usual pain. Other possibilities could include gas. If symptoms persist further evaluation is needed. If you have pain on deep inspiration and have risk factors for pulmonary embolism , pleuritic chest pain is possible.
