In brief: Soothing sore throat
Many times, when your child is sick, the best thing you can do is soothe and treat their symptoms while their body heals.
For sore throat, try cool liquids, a vaporizer and Acetaminophen or ibuprofen. For coughs, use nasal saline drops or spray, a vaporizer, elevate the head of the bed and give plenty of fluids. Most cough medicines do very little to stop coughing!
