Are pvcs in right venrtrivcle more concering than left ventricle?

Not necessarily. Much more important than the location is the frequency. Infrequent pvcs are common and rarely dangerous. Frequent pvcs have greater potential to cause serious rhythm disturbances, regardless of the ventricle of origin. Locating the origin is important mainly in deciding if there is a single focus, and for cardiologists who are considering (relatively rare) ablation (destruction) of such a focus.

If you have pvcs in both the left and right ventricle is that called multifocal pvcs?

Not quite the same. Multifocal pvcs means multiple areas in the ventricles of the heart that are firing to stimulate contraction early (premature ventricular contraction). The can be in different parts of either the right or left ventricle, or both. So, having pvcs originate in both ventricles would indeed be multifocal, not all multifocal pvcs are from both ventricles. And not all pvcs are bad! often common. Read more...

Stress test show PVC originating av node, left and right ventricle. Very symptomatic painful, meds make me so sick. Concern?

Need Echo +/- CT/MR. A bit unclear as PVC cannot originate from av node. That said, extra beats brought out by exercise, especially ventricular extra beats raise the question of structural abnormality such as abnormal path of coronary, or heart muscle and conduction disease. Echo or cardiac mr can help look for muscle disease, and an mr or ct for an abnormal coronary. An electrophysiologist may further define problem. Read more...
