What could cause positive ANA 1:640. I have up mid back pain 1 yr and right flank pain CT of chest clear. Mri ok. Cbc ok. Urine ok .Metabolic ok.

Conditions like ankylosing spondylitis,Rheumatoid arthritis, other autoimmune diseases like mixedconnective tissue disorders, need to be kept in mind. Hopefully you are following with arheumatologist already. Sometimes it is little early to consider it as a falsepositive test because we don't see the changes in the imaging sometimes and they appear late . Need to follow with follow with blood work and imaging per the recommendation of your rheumatologist .
