Generally, pets should not be on the bed with a child.
If your child has allergies, keep his bedroom free of stuffed animals, extra pillows and fabrics. Use allergy bedding covers and a hepa filter if possible. Although not all children with allergies are allergic to dogs, it is better to play it safe.
