In brief: Possibilities...

Possible diagnoses include bronchospasm from any cause, gerd, sinus problems or even a combination of factors.
All of these have different treatments so you need to see your doctor so you can be diagnosed and then treated. If you are smoking, you need to quit and your doctor can help with this as well.

In brief: See your PCP

Pcp stands for primary care physician.
There are many common causes of cough including viruses, pneumonia, asthma, acid reflux, cancers and heart failure. Two weeks is a little long for a typical viral illness. Based on your history, physical exam and possibly some tests your physician can diagnose and treat your cough properly.

In brief: See someone medical

Anyone who has a cough for two weeks has something wrong.
It could be as minor as postnasal drip or as serious as lung cancer. But you would have to be seen and examined, and probably have at least an x ray to help decide. Do what is right for your health. And for heaven's sake stop smoking and stay away from people who do!
