In brief: No need to douche

The vagina keeps itself clean without using any douches.
In fact, douching can predispose to infection (such as bacterial vaginosis). You can clean the outside of the vagina with gentle soap or water. If vaginal discharge is copious, green, or has a fishy odor, it could be a sign of an infection. In this case, you might consider making a doctor's appointment.

In brief: Bad idea

Douching is not a good idea.
It destroys your vaginas ability to clean itself. Odor and discharge are not normal and need to evaluated in the office. This usually means you have a vagnal infection which will need to be treated.
