In brief: No
Kids will get bitten by fleas from pets, but kids wouldn't actually have fleas living on them. Since kids have little hair and no fur, plus they get bathed often, it would be difficult for a flea to set up home on a child.

In brief: Yes
Fleas love the warm skin of kids just as much as they do that of household pets! flea bites itch and make the child uncomfortable and/or miserable and can lead to skin infections either from germs entering during the initial flea bite, or more often, from all the scratching kids do from the flea bite "itchies.
" (they scratch germs from their hands into the skin.) get rid of the fleas!
