You need to see the OB and not depend on a number of the test. This number should go up on repeat and if it is going down, that is bad. Also ask for an U/S

In a good pregnancy, they should double within 48-72 hours. If fetal heart rate was seen with an ultraound with a b-hcg of 5500 generally, it should be fine.
