In brief: No

It just isn't. I've noticed on healthtap that several visitors have this idea and i'm wondering where it came from. It a curious growth of endometrium in abnormal places; nothing i've seen in the decades that i've been acquainted with this common and troublesome illness suggests immunity is a factor.
