In brief: Lots of causes.

Any type of operation, even when perfectly performed, is a stressful period.
And when you combine that with the discomfort of menstruation, the combination can be particularly difficult. Menstruation is commonly associated with muscle cramps and spasms which add on to surgical pain. Talk with your surgeon to find out whether your symptoms are within the normal range or not.

In brief: Pain after surgery

If you are right after surgery and is gradually getting better it is ok.
If it has been months it is not ok. Sometimes in rare cases tubal surgery is associated with severe pelvic pain postop that does not get better with time. In that case the recommended treatment is hysterectomy. But that is a rare event.
